Course Map

The course is challenging, but by no means beyond the ability of anyone who can manage an equivalent distance on the road.

The Half Marathon consists of two laps of the course, all of which is off road. The first two miles are along the banks of the river Wye between Whitebrook and Redbrook. Runners then turn sharp left, run a further flat mile along the disused railway track, then turn right through forest tracks and uphill for two miles climbing 600 feet. The reward is a nice one a half mile downhill stretch through woodland, before going round again.

The 10k race is run around a single lap of the course.

There are two water stations (you'll pass them four times in total), marshals every half mile, and First Aid Cover provided by St. John's Ambulance.

Please note: trail shoes are highly recommended. Some of the downhill sections are on rough, uneven paths that require shoes with good grip.

We'll have some prizes for the winners in their categories and a memento of the occasion for all runners.
